Some believe these are the best maple drums Yamaha ever made. Made in Japan in the 1990's these drums were a staple in all forms of music. This drum has that sharp and fat maple tone you'd expect from Yamaha. The low mass brass lugs add to the resonance of the drum and the Yama die cast adds to the attack. This drum is in great shape, it shows some wear around the brass lugs but other than that it looks fantastic for its age.
