The Digidesign Digi 002 Rack is a 2U rackmountable FireWire audio interface offering 18 channels of I/O, including 8 balanced analog inputs (4 with mic preamps), 8 channels of ADAT/S/PDIF digital I/O, and 2 channels of S/PDIF I/O. It supports up to 96 kHz sample rates, features integrated MIDI I/O (1 in, 2 out), and works seamlessly with Pro Tools LE software for 32-track recording and playback.
Audio Connectivity & I/O
- Analog Inputs:8 balanced analog inputs (¼-inch TRS).
- Inputs 1-4: Mic preamps with individual gain and switchable high-pass filters, with 48V phantom power available in pairs.
- Inputs 5-8: Line-level only inputs.
- Analog Outputs:8 balanced analog outputs.
- Outputs 1 & 2: Mirrored on TRS monitor outputs (with dedicated volume control) and RCA fixed outputs.
- Digital I/O:
- 8 channels of ADAT optical I/O OR 2 channels of optical S/PDIF I/O.
- 2 channels of S/PDIF I/O via RCA connectors.
- Alternate Source Input:A stereo RCA input for monitoring other sources like CD or tape players.
