Fender Japan Mustang KC-MG/LH SBL (Left-Handed) – Sonic Blue

This is a left-handed Fender Japan Mustang, serial number Made in Japan U0 + 5 digits, dating it to around 2010–2012.
The model was produced as a tribute to Kurt Cobain’s famous “Sky-Stang”, released as a limited edition Nirvana Kurt Cobain signature model. Rare left-handed version in the very popular Sonic Blue finish.

This particular guitar has been modified to Kurt’s spec and professionally set up:

• Pickups: replaced with a brand-new Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB (White) in the bridge
• Switches: replaced with new white Allparts switches
• Neck pickup cover replaced with a new one (pickup itself is original)
• Volume & tone knobs replaced with new ones
• Complete re-wiring with Belden wire, upgraded capacitor, pots, and jack
• Full fret dressing, adjustment, and setup carried out by a professional repair shop
• Comes with a brand-new Mustang left-handed tremolo arm

In addition, this guitar includes a very rare bonus: when this model was first released, registering it entitled you to receive a limited 10-inch “Smells Like Teen Spirit” red vinyl record. This rare promotional item (non-sale item, unopened) is included here.

Condition
There are some scratches on the headstock, a finish crack near the neck joint, and other small dings and scuffs overall.
However, the frets have been dressed, the guitar has been fully adjusted, and it plays perfectly. Thoroughly cleaned.
