Featuring a golden-brown sunburst top and refined vintage-inspired appointments, the Taylor Gold Label 517e Grand Pacific is a powerhouse acoustic-electric designed for warmth, depth, and classic character. Its modified Grand Pacific body is deeper than Taylor’s traditional round-shoulder dreadnoughts, producing a rich low-end response and earthy resonance that excel in both strumming and fingerpicking contexts. With a torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides, the 517e delivers a warm, played-in tonal quality right out of the case. The special roasting process applied to the spruce adds sweetness and dynamic balance, enhancing its versatility across genres. Inside, Taylor’s fanned V-Class bracing with tonal rout boosts sustain, volume, and intonation, ensuring each note rings true.

Playability is at the forefront thanks to Taylor’s patented long-tenon Action Control Neck, which not only enhances wood-to-wood coupling for greater low-end response but also allows effortless string height adjustments in seconds. The slim, satin-finished neck provides a familiar Taylor feel, while a 25-1/2" scale length ensures both expressive bending and bold projection.

Visually, the 517e carries the distinct Gold Label Collection styling, including cream “Crest” inlays on the ebony fretboard and peghead, cream body binding, a single cream rosette, and a firestripe pickguard for a striking vintage touch.
