Sommatone Roaring 40 - Custom Blue Sparkle

Up for grabs is one of the best 40 watt EL84 amps of all time - The Roaring 40 from our dear friend, the late great Jimmy Somma. Custom one-off build in blue sparkle w custom ordered foot switch. The foot switch is killer as it allows you to switch between 2 gain stages, one being a mid-boost, the other is a full gain boost, or run both at the same time - all boost levels are set internally and are set perfectly. Plus it provides you with foot switchable reverb with two separate volume levels, pure genius.

All the attention to detail that we have come to know and love from a master amp builder. All hand-wired, point to point, all the heavy duty iron on the inside - Mercury Magnetics PO/OP Transformers, chokes, etc. The beauty of Jimmy's original build is that there are two separate volumes for Bright & Normal channels which can be blended as well as an overall Master Volume - pure guitar tone at any volume - from bedroom level to stadium and everything in between.

4 - EL84s = 40 watts - switchable down to 20 watts with Reverb dwell and mix control on the back - set it and forget it as you can operate the reverb with the footswitch.

I hate to see her go, but the new owner will surly be blown away.
