Steal Away Metal’s Most Iconic Solo Tone

With him gracing the profound discography of Quiet Riot and being a key compositional participant in Ozzy Osbourne’s genre-defining Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, guitarists have zero qualms in hailing Randy Rhoads as one of heavy metal’s most influential 6-string masters — a player as deeply rooted in theory and chops as he was passionate for the music itself. After years of research, steadfast attention to detail, and access to his equipment arsenal, MXR has unearthed the secret to Rhoads’s beloved, ear-splitting tone and injected it directly into the Randy Rhoads Distortion + pedal. Dressed in a finish inspired by his supersonic V-shaped guitar, the Randy Rhoads Distortion + is mounted with Rhoads-inspired circuitry and controls, maintaining peak authenticity of Randy’s sonics for fans and devout shredders alike. Likewise, hard-wired true bypass switching and an LED indicator prove this pedal is a more than worthy addition to any stage or studio pedalboard. Encompassing tones from the timeless squeals of Rhoads’s most notorious solo works to the downright dirty rhythmic riffs laid on metal classics time and time again, the Randy Rhoads Distortion + is everything within a stompbox revelation — complete with an exclusive booklet and certificate of authenticity to claim your spot in metal history with absolute certainty.
