Here’s something you don’t see everyday. This 1968 L-5 has had a center block installed to reduce feedback on large stages, and was painted Cadillac Green Metallic. The work was done for a very well known player, but the added weight from the center block kept him from slinging this around on stage... since he’s a little frail. This weighs 10.5 lbs, which puts it in Les Paul territory.
While it’s heavy, this is a fantastic guitar. The flame maple showing on the sides and neck is mesmerizing, and the green makes this guitar really stand out. And… it’s an L-5.
