This is a New TopHat Custom Guitars Telavarius Blackguard Thinline in Roasted Swamp Ash body in Butterscotch finish, top is from the same blank as main body, grain matches!!
It has a set of Guardian pups from Righteous Sound Pickups...Meant to replicate the early 50's era pickups with mix of alnico mags and gold mesh top on neck pup, eliminating the tin can over the top that restricts it's output and sensitivity!
This has a billet aluminum bridge plate with brass compensated saddles, providing original look with improved intonation.
The pickguard is our own custom design, made by Decoboom guards, with toggle switch instead of the slider type.
Neck is a beautiful Canadian maple 1 piece neck with some nice flame in the grain, fat all the way down as original early models were...this can be changed to another profile/type, if you prefer. We have many to choose from.
As well, we can do a final setup for you with your preferred string gauge/type. Other pups can be supplied, too.
Neck has a 3 string tree and keystone tuners by Gotoh.
Comes in at just 6lb. 7oz. and very lively due to roasted body.
