I’ve owned this adorable and fascinating antique parlor guitar for decades. I strung it with nylon strings and played as if it was an early romantic type classical guitar. Check the ancient video below. Just mesmerizing to hold a piece of history in your hands and making music with it! I had the one and only Luthier Yuris Zeltins fix it up when i first bought it. He did his little trick to metal saddle to tighten up the intonation of the G string. He told me it had some variation of ladder bracing as I recall. Not very loud with the very old and very low tension strings currently on it but charming tone- like stepping into a Time Machine. It’s fully playable and has signs of well stabilized repaired cracks from long ago. But it’s all original. I wish I could state what woods it’s made from but I really don’t know. top is so aged I cant tell if it’s spruce, cedar or other Probably spruce though. Back and sides appear to be in the rosewood family. Play it or display it! Or both as I did. I don’t have a case for it but I’ll try to find something suitable otherwise will be packed very securely.
