Used - Very Good Condition
- Body: there are a couple of small chips in the finish along the back bottom edge next to the bottom strap hook; top, back, and sides show some noticeable scuff marks, scratches, and small dings, mostly on the back of the body where there is heavy buckle rash; the pickguard and the electronics cover both still have the plastic film covering them
- Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: all looks virtually flawless
- Action and Playability: the action is nice and low, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlessly
- Frets: almost no wear
- Hardware: the tuners and stopbar look fantastic and the bridge just has very minor pitting in the finish a few spots
- Electronics: all functions flawlessly, but the pickups do have a few noticeable scuff marks on them
- Includes: electric guitar and original hardshell case

The Gibson Explorer offered a radical, "futuristic" body design, much like its siblings: the Flying V, which was released the same year, and the Moderne, which was designed in 1957 but not released until 1982. The Explorer was the final development of a prototype design that, years later, Gibson marketed under the name Futura. The Explorer's initial run was unsuccessful, and the model was discontinued in 1963. In 1976, Gibson began reissuing the Explorer after competitor Hamer Guitars had success selling similar designs. The Explorer became especially popular among the hard rock and heavy metal musicians of the 1970s and 1980s. Add a dash of spice to your guitar collection with this Gibson Explorer T. This classic guitar is made from mahogany for the body and neck, with a 1-piece rosewood fretboard and a fixed bridge for rock-solid tuning stability. Once you get your hands on this guitar's comfortable slim neck with rosewood fingerboard, you won't be able to put this classic-styled, rock-ready axe down. A pair of 496T and 496R pickups delivers the classic tones you need for your next gig. Some of the notable guitarists who have wielded an Explorer include James Hetfield of Metallica, The Edge from U2, Al Jourgensen from Ministry, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, and Allen Collins from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Wouldn't you like to join the ranks of these legendary rockers!
