With its golden-brown burst top, the Gold Label 517e SB delivers striking visual appeal that matches its heritage-inspired sound. This refreshed take on the Grand Pacific—built with a deeper body than the original round-shoulder dreadnought—offers powerful acoustic-electric performance with impressive low-end presence. Crafted with solid mahogany back and sides and a torrefied Sitka spruce top, it produces a warm, earthy tone rich in midrange character. Our proprietary soundboard roasting process adds sweetness and a seasoned quality reminiscent of vintage, well-played instruments. Inside, fanned V-Class bracing boosts volume and sustain while ensuring clear intonation across the fretboard. The slim, satin-finished Taylor neck features our patented long-tenon Action Control Neck™ joint, enabling quick string-height adjustments to match your playing style. This long-tenon design also strengthens the neck-to-body connection, enhancing resonance for a fuller, warmer, and more open low-end response.

Taylor’s new Gold Label Collection introduces a richer, warmer, and more full-bodied acoustic voice, drawing inspiration from classic, vintage tones. This distinct sonic character was conceived by Andy Powers and brought to life by the expert luthiers at Taylor Guitars.

This newly reimagined Grand Pacific features a body that’s 3/8” deeper, bringing the depth at the soundhole to a full 5 inches. The added depth provides greater “lung capacity,” enhancing the guitar’s ability to produce deeper, more resonant frequencies. The result is a more expansive low end, increased power, and stronger projection—while even the treble notes gain extra warmth and richness. LR Baggs Element electronics make this one stage and studio ready.
