Manuel De La Chica was legendary guitar builder in Granada, Spain. His work was often underrated, partly due to his unique way of building. Currently his guitars are highly esteemed and sought after.

This flamenco guitar was built in 1955, it has Spanish cypress sides and back with a spruce top. The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is ebony.

It has a sweet old time flamenco sound and it truly is a joy to play.
It has a few well repaired cracks and a few fingernail scars as well.

The neck is straight and the action is low and very easy to play.

The nut is 50mm

A wonderful piece of history and a great guitar.

Give a call for more info and some stories with Manuel by our shop owner Guillermo who met a him a few times while living in Spain and playing flamenco professionally.
