A lovely late 1960's/early 70's vintage 'Vito" alto saxophone made by Beaugnier of France. It is lacquered brass and is in good condition for its age, with no significant dents or repairs - nothing that materially impacts looks or playability. Lacquer is about 90%, and it has straight tone holes plus gold plated springs! Beaugnier also made saxes for Gretsch, Noblet, and P. Gerard, amongst others, and all the instruments I've worked on have been well built, good playing horns.
Its been disassembled, cleaned, swedged and countersunk (to tighten the mechanism) posts aligned, tone holes leveled, rods trued, all tan leather pads (with brown plastic resos) installed, and key corks/felts replaced, reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. The horn is a really good player, with a full, slightly edgy tone, good intonation, and comfortable key work: it would be a good horn for Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues... I'm very pleased with the condition and play-ability of this saxophone! Comes with original case in clean, solid condition.
