Superb D-55 - a top-tier USA made Guild dreadnought renowned for its rich tone, premium craftsmanship and build quality.

In very good overall condition, with some cosmetic wear and blemishes as you'd expect from age, and clear evidence of a well-loved instrument that’s been well maintained. There's some play wear visible in the lacquer on the neck and forearm area — characteristic of a guitar that's been well-played but cared for. The top has nicely 'honeyed' and the guitar overall feels played-in and very comfortable. A few frets at the cowboy chord end have minor signs of use as you'd expect but there's tonnes of love left in them. A small repair to the binding (not felt when playing and pictured on extremely close up image) and we've exaggerated the blemishes under direct studio lighting to exaggerate them and make them more visible for the photos than they appear in real life.

This guitar has a lovely tight grained Sitka Spruce top that provides clarity and punch, paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides for warmth and rich overtones. The Ebony fingerboard and bridge contribute to the guitar's bright and articulate response, perfect for fingerstyle playing or flat-picking. It has a medium C profile neck which is comfortable in the hand. Guild’s craftsmanship is impeccable, and this model reflects their attention to detail with beautiful Abalone V-block inlays and Ivoroid binding adding to its aesthetic charm. The bridge pins have been upgraded for improved stability and it measures 43.67mm across the nut. It sounds fantastic and comes with a brand new padded gig bag.
