Purchased Directly From The Family Of Tony Bennett, This Was His Personal Guitar; He Bought The Instrument To Keep At His House And Studio So That There Was A Guitar There When Musicians Came By To Visit Or Work- This Instrument Was Played Over The Years By Countless Jazz Greats And Comes With A Signed Personal Letter From Tony Bennett‘s Son Stating It Was In Fact His Father’s Instrument.

Structurally In Very Good Overall Condition.

Original Natural Finish Shows Considerable Wear From Use (See Photos).

Top Has Some Professionally Repaired Cracks Near The Treble Side F-Hole- They Are Cosmetically Visible But Structurally Solid And Are Shown In Detail In The Listing (See Photos).

Original Binding Has Some Separations In A Few Spots, But Is Intact And Not Crumbling (See Photos)

All Parts Are Original To The Guitar Except The Pickguard Which Is A 1940’s Tiger Stripe Replacement And The Heel Cap Which Was Professionally Replaced.

Frets Are Original And In Very Good Condition.

The Guitar Is Set Up With Phospher Bronze Acoustic Strings And Plays Perfectly With Very Low Action Measuring 2.5mm Bass Side And 2mm Treble Side At The 12th Fret. The Neck Is Perfectly Straight And The Truss Rod Functions As It Should- No Issues And A Joy To Play.

Neck Contour Is A Soft “V” Typical Of The Era And Is Very Comfortable To Play. It Is Full, But Not A Baseball Bat With The Depth Measuring .95” At The 1st Fret and 1.12‘ At The 12th.

Nut Width Is 1.69” (1&11/16”).

Weighs In At 5.7lbs.

The Original Case Is In Fair Condition With One Broken Hinge And A Replacement Handle.
