This 1987 Ibanez JEM777 in Desert Sun Yellow is one of the earliest and rarest models from the initial JEM series, marking the debut collaboration between Ibanez and virtuoso guitarist Steve Vai. This Japanese-made guitar is in very good condition considering its age, with visible play wear throughout including pickguard scratching, light finish cracks, fret and fingerboard wear, and oxidation on the bolt plate. The Ibanez logo on the headstock is fading, and the pickup covers show aging, all typical for a model of this era. Notably, it retains the rare clear tremolo cavity plate and early Edge tremolo with bridge guard only found on the first production runs. This guitar has been cleaned, set up, and restrung by our professional technicians and plays beautifully with fully functional electronics.
