Quality microphone isolation and 17vdc phantom power for one mic when running two 9V internal batteries. Pull batteries when using for isolation only. External 24 Vdc gives you 24v phantom. (see drawing) You must pull the batteries important for dynamics particularly ribbons. You could get away with using this as a splitter as well but watch where your grounds are going if running to other circuits. See drawing. Batteries removed before shipping.
