Hey now! You're looking at a super cool, one of a kind guitar.

This is a 1978 Gibson EDS-1275 Double-Neck Electric Guitar.

It weighs 12 lbs 9 oz, 24.75" scale. 1.67" nut width on the 12-string, 1.69" nut width on the 6 string.

The serial and pot codes date this beauty to 1978.

What a workhorse of an incredibly cool guitar!!

As rare and collectible is this double-neck is, it's practical and real true player.

The classic Gibson combo of mahogany/maple lends excellent tone transfer, great sustain, and when pushed with some overdrive you get all that fantastic Gibson midrange crunch.

Coupled with the maple you have great natural resonance and brightness - the perfect tonal balance.

Grabbin' up all this vintage Gibson goodness are a quad of Gibson patent etched humbuckers.

Just setup, the necks are straight and the frets are clean, only showing some minor wear.

The Alpine White has aged to a wonderful yellowish-hue

Modifications:

Schaller tuners were installed on the 6 string guitar.

The original output jack was on the pickguard, and a stereo output was added to the side. This way you could put the 6 string into one amp, and the 12 string into another - AMAZING!! Something Les Paul would've been really psyched about.

You have your neck selector switch, pickup selector switch, and a phase switch. You can put the 12 & 6 out of phase with each other - another amazing modification.

With a couple of flips of these switches, your only tonal limit is your imagination!

It's in very good overall condition, especially considering its age. Normal wear you'd expect from a near 50 year old instrument. Marks/scratches, and some dings. Buckle rash, and a few marks on the sides of the nut.
