The Gold Label Collection expands with the addition of a bold new Grand Pacific model, now featuring a deeper body and enhanced tonal depth. This guitar offers a booming low end and a rich, full-spectrum sound, thanks to its redesigned bracing, full five-inch-deep body, extended tenon neck joint, and innovative Action Control Neck—allowing you to adjust the neck angle while the guitar is under full string tension.

Our Gold Label guitars deliver a warm, heritage-inspired sound unlike anything previously heard from Taylor, and this reimagined Grand Pacific design brings even greater depth and variety to the lineup. The Gold Label 717e SB features an enhanced round-shoulder dreadnought body, producing an exceptionally open, resonant voice with powerful low-end presence, balanced clarity across the tonal spectrum, and smooth, rounded treble. Its classic tonewood combination—Indian rosewood paired with Sitka spruce—adds lush overtones and a touch of vintage sweetness, thanks in part to our proprietary torrefaction process on the soundboard. Inside, a fanned variant of our V-Class bracing supports greater volume and sustain, while our patented Action Control Neck™ uses a long-tenon joint for enhanced bass response. This innovative neck design also allows precise micro-adjustments for playing comfort—you can set your action (string height) in seconds with a simple turn of a bolt inside the soundhole, without detuning or removing the neck.

Visually, the 717e SB is dressed in a golden-brown shaded edgeburst on a full-body gloss finish, accented by a cream pickguard with matching rosette and binding, Crest inlays, our refined Gold Label headstock profile, and a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with Indian rosewood pins. It comes equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and includes a deluxe British Cocoa hardshell case.

This newly reimagined Grand Pacific features a body that’s 3/8” deeper, bringing the depth at the soundhole to a full 5 inches. The added depth provides greater “lung capacity,” enhancing the guitar’s ability to produce deeper, more resonant frequencies. The result is a more expansive low end, increased power, and stronger projection—while even the treble notes gain extra warmth and richness. LR Baggs Element electronics make this one stage and studio ready.
