This is a wonderful 1970s Harmony Sovereign Code H6561. The Guitar is made of solid woods and it is x-braced. It plays ok with high action. Big fun for slide and cowboy chords. I originally bought it with the design of dropping a fat sound hole pick-up in it (like an old DeArmond) and using for Elmore James style slide playing. Alas, never finished that project. It will need a set up and neck adjustment for finger style playing. The frets are fine. This is a surprisingly well balanced sounding guitar. It has tight mids and a nice boomey low end. I think it's a great bang for the buck as it is If you want a vintage, great sounding acoustic with a solid top. There’s some tape residue on the back that I think would come off with a little effort, and one of the tuning keys has a buzz/rattle. Neck joint is nice and tight. There are some dings and stings and things throughout, but nothing you wouldn’t expect in a 40 year old guitar. No cracks, no repairs, and, as best I can tell, all original. I want to be clear - the action is high. Unless you intend to use it for slide or you like a guitar with high action, you’re probably gonna wanna do some work on it.
