Just in—Tobias Music Custom Shop Expert ‘24-‘25 Series. This exceptional guitar was crafted using hand-selected tonewoods, personally chosen by our custom shop team with the expert guidance of the Martin team. With over 45 years of experience as a Martin dealer, we’ve had the privilege of accessing some of the finest materials available.  

This model features beautifully figured Central American Cocobolo back and sides, paired with a milky white Certified European Swiss spruce top. Drawing inspiration from the legendary OM-28, we elevated the design with premium wood sets to create a guitar that has the tone to match the looks.  

A seriously classy wood pairing—you can expect a very articulate and powerful 000/OM guitar. Here’s how the tone woods generally interact:

High Altitude Swiss Spruce Top – Swiss spruce (often from the Alps) is known for its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. That means you’ll get a very quick response, shimmering clarity, and a wide dynamic range. Because it’s high-altitude grown, it tends to produce an even tighter grain, giving you extra headroom and a touch more brilliance compared to Sitka or Engelmann. Notes will “pop” with definition, yet still retain warmth.

Cocobolo Back and Sides – Cocobolo is dense, like Brazilian rosewood, but with a bit more focus in the low end. Expect deep, piano-like bass, sparkling trebles, and a rich overtone content. It’s powerful and complex, often described as “luxurious” in tone. Compared to Indian rosewood, it gives more immediacy and color—almost a glassy sheen on the highs.

OM Body Shape – The OM / 000 size balances all that tonal richness with intimacy and balance. You won’t get the same raw low-end boom as a dreadnought, but you will get a beautifully even response across the strings, great for fingerstyle, light flatpicking, and recording.

In short: expect a guitar that’s articulate, responsive, and harmonically rich, with deep, clear lows, shimmering highs, and a very refined midrange presence. It’ll be versatile enough to handle delicate fingerstyle but with enough punch and sustain to carry in ensemble settings.
