Regarded as the best year for the L-00 due to various construction appointments for 1933 (see video). There’s a reason Gibson reissued the ‘33s.

This is a tone monster! Lightweight and responsive to a slight touch. Very simple and direct old timey tone.
It just got back from a professional neck reset.
There is a tiny crack repair near the fretboard and soundhole (see pic). the body has been oversprayed at some point, but the original crazing is apparent throughout. The headstock logo was redone very nicely, the original having been removed.

The bridge is a well done replacement. One tuner post/button is a replacement from period tuners by the same company.
The interior has been inspected thoroughly by a luthier and is very clean, all original bracing nicely intact as well as an almost flawless bridge plate. It has the solid lining which in effect gives the top much more vibrational space, only used in ‘33.
This is an amazing sounding original prewar L-00, seriously as loud as a 000 Martin. Perfect for fingerstyle. This guitar is perhaps the punchiest guitar I have ever heard. The decision to sell it has truly been a difficult one.

FON #675

Comes with a very rare period 1930s Geib hard case built for Gibson L series guitars in battered but really cool condition with several fixes to get it up and running.
