1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior

This '59 doublecut Junior is a serious player. It's got that perfect '59 carve that hits the sweet spot for so many players, and the P-90 in this one sounds fantastic! The instrument is original with the exception of the bone nut, BadAss bridge & tone caps (two .01uF in parallel to achieve the stock value of .02uF). The headstock has been extensively repaired. There appear to be several screws and dowels through the headstock, and a thick layer of paint (or perhaps epoxy) has been applied in stinger fashion. The Gibson and Les Paul Junior logos appear to be reproduction decals. While unusual, the repair is solid and does not affect playability. The original P-90 pickup reads 8.52k ohms and has plenty of bite. Weighs 6.7 pounds and ships in the vintage HSC shown.
