Pair of Teac ME-120 Small Diaphragm, Cardioid Condenser Mics. They are in excellent condition and work just as they should. The switch, contacts and ground connections have all been cleaned.
These mics were made by Primo of Japan, probably around 1980. They are the exact same mics as the Nakamichi CM-300 and many others made by Primo for Teac, Tascam, Dual, Universum, Altec, JVC, etc.
The Primo electret capsules (EM-21) in these mics sound great and are very reliable. I have never seen one with a weak charge. These mics are battery powered. The original, specified 9V battery is long out of production, but the mic works great, in fact better, with two 6V 4LR44 batteries in series. These batteries are typically used for electronic dog collars and are widely available and inexpensive. They fit in the mic's battery compartment nicely and will last a long time. There are brand new ones in these. The mics can be modified for phantom power, if need be. They come with the original windscreens.
These work very well for acoustic guitars, overheads on drums and pianos and even vocals.
