This is a beautiful Ludwig Club Date Outfit from the early-to-mid 1960s, featuring an 8x12 rack tom, 14x14 floor tom, and 14x20 bass drum. The wrap is the visual centerpiece. This kit wears a tight, vibrant Oyster Black Pearl pattern with strong contrast and classic Ludwig character. The toms retain excellent visual depth, while the bass drum has a slightly warmer, browner hue by comparison. Rather than detracting from the kit, that variation gives it the kind of honest vintage character serious buyers often expect from original-era wrap.

The hardware is another important part of this set’s story. The kit includes original nickel hardware that still presents beautifully, with a shine very close in appearance to chrome. Some chrome hardware elements are also present, along with white baseball bat mufflers. That mixture is consistent with Ludwig’s transitional production period, when nickel and chrome parts could appear together as the company moved more fully into chrome hardware.

The bass drum has been carefully gone through with preservation in mind. It was fully disassembled, cleaned, polished, and waxed.
