A bass that needs no introduction with some serious upgrades! This isn’t your grand-daddy‘s 4003, but a serious band leadin’ tone machine! Everyone lnows that the stock bridges on Rickenbackers are…..somewhat underwhelming (putting it nicely!) This one however features a brass Hipshot bridge which allows the bass to really ring out and sustain! As for the pickups, the stock Rickenbackers certainly have their sound but are weak in output, not these Joe Barden Rickenbacker pickups! They offer that Rickenbacker signature sound and then some! Making this 4003 a really versatile “1 bass to bring to the gig-does it all kind of bass!!” Command the audience and band with the striking look and upgraded sounds of this 4003!
Side note, my tech hates Rickenbacker basses with all his heart (hes a peculiar guy yes I know!) BUT…..he loves this one with the right upgrades done to it! Any client that comes in with a Rickenbacker he immediately tells them to do these upgrades! They all agree this is the way to go!
