Now, let’s spotlight the man behind the model—Michiya Haruhata, the guitar virtuoso whose career has defined Japanese rock for decades. Born on November 5, 1966, in Tokyo, Haruhata burst onto the scene in 1985 as the lead guitarist and composer for TUBE, a pop-rock band that became synonymous with Japan’s endless summer soundtrack. With hits like “Beach Time” and albums selling millions, TUBE revolutionized J-pop with their upbeat, beachy anthems, blending rock riffs, catchy melodies, and Haruhata’s innovative guitar work.       Launching his solo career in 1987 with instrumental albums that showcased his technical prowess and emotional depth, Haruhata has released over a dozen records, composed for films and TV, and produced for other artists under Sony Music.    His love for pink Strats dates back to his early days, commissioning custom models that evolved into this signature line, first introduced in the ‘90s and refined over the years to capture his versatile playing—from soaring solos to rhythmic grooves.   Collaborating with Fender Japan since the brand’s modern revival in 2015, Haruhata’s 2020 model embodies the pinnacle of MIJ craftsmanship: superior wood selection, flawless assembly, and attention to detail that rivals custom shops, all produced in Japan’s state-of-the-art facilities for domestic and select international markets.    This guitar isn’t just gear—it’s a tribute to Haruhata’s enduring legacy as a trailblazer who fused Western rock influences with Japanese pop sensibility, inspiring generations of players.

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
