LAKLAND 1ST JOE OSBORN USA SIGNATURE MODEL BASS GUITAR MADE - LIKE NEW 1998 - Shoreline Gold

This listing is for a COLLECTABLE 1st USA made Lakland "Joe Osborn Signature Model" offered to the public. This Lakland signature Shoreline Gold Joe Osborn Serial #010 was made in 1997 as represented by the pot dates of 1379710. As stated in the attached letter from Dan Lakin, giving it Provenance to the validity of this bass.

All Joe Osborn basses made prior to this serial number were prototypes and were for artists evaluation only. In addition, only the first 100 of the Joe Osborn basses had his signature on the front of the headstock.

This bass is in “like new” condition. Phenomenal playing and sounding bass, that's all original, and in perfect working order! No breaks, cracks, repairs. The side of the headstock is stamped 010 as shown in the pictures. The neck is straight and true. Quarter-sawn flamed maple neck with graphite reinforcement bars, with a rosewood board and maple position marker lines and only weighs 9lbs 6oz.

Pickups: Lindy Fralin.
Electronics: Two stack knobs – Vol/Tone.

Joe Osborn played his original 1960 bass on more than 200 Top 40 pop singles and over 400 Top 40 country singles before he decided to set his vintage axe aside to give it some R&R. The '60 gave Joe a tone and playability that no other bass was able to match until now! Our collaboration with one of the music industry's most influential electric bass players yielded a masterpiece of simplicity and usability.
