My father and I hand built this Birdseye Maple, left handed Banjo with mother of pearl inlays when I was a teenager. I hand cut all of the inlays with a coping saw when I was 15 years old, I’m now 60. I don’t play the banjo myself and I’m getting older and want someone to enjoy it as much as Dad did. It’s been in the hardshell case for 15 years. My dad played using the old Uncle Dave Macon double drop thumb method when he played it. It’s definitely 1 of a kind. The resonator is Birdseye Maple with binding around outside edges and inlayed wood design in complete circles. Believe it or not, the wood strips was straight and he hand cut them to complete the 2 circles on the back. The Birdseye Maple neck has a reenforced adjustable truss rod and the same inlay on the back of the neck in the straight form. Custom made binding on the edges of the neck. The headstock has our family name, Eltzroth, inlaid with mother of pearl, which I hand cut. Any questions, shoot me a message. You will be shocked by the quality! Dad always did everything to spec. and never cut corners.
