The Martin M, or 0000 is the hybrid body size when you are looking for something with more meat than a 000 or more comfort than a dreadnought. With a 16″ lower bout, this body size came to be when Martin decided to make a flat top out of their archtop model. Think large OM or thin body jumbo. Volume, warmth and projection with more focused mids and highs.
This Custom Shop 0000 is model features the clear and balanced wood combination of hand picked premium grade Cocobolo back and sides and a Certified European High Altitude Swiss Spruce top with custom Chris Hillman burst finish. This custom build features includes white Mother of Pearl 42-style top purfling and rosette, white Mother of Pearl 45-style snowflake fretboard and bridge inlays and CFM block headstock inlays, full antique white body, fretboard and headstock bindings, Adirondack Spruce Golden Era style forward shifted scalloped X bracing, Black Ebony fretboard and bridge, premium Cocobolo headstock overlay, Genuine Mahogany 1-piece modified low oval neck with high performance taper, 45-style Mosaic back strip, white pins with Paua Pearl dots, Gold Grover butterbean tuners, 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 1/4″ saddle spacing and more.
