This is a 1997 American '62 Fender Stratocaster.

It is very very lightly used, with only a minor blemish or two. It comes with everything you would have received if you purchased it new, including: Tremolo bar, Tremolo springs, Tremolo cover plate, 3 way switch (installed), 5-way switch, tweed case with key, owner's manual, specifications manual, quality control tag with serial number and other documentation. Even the Fender hang tag sticker!

I've played this a handful of times years ago, but otherwise it has sat in its case in my closet.

Transported in time from heyday of the "surf" era, the '62 Vintage Stratocaster reflects several evolutionary changes that had taken place since the mid-50's. The staggered-magnet pickups and small headstock and tuning machines remained, but Rosewood fingerboards had replaced the maple necks of the 50's. The '62 faithfully captures these and other details of the early-60's Stratocasters, along with unique sound and superb playing qualities that have always been Stratocaster trademarks. '62 Vintage Stratocasters come with a kit necessary for updating to today's standards. The case is weak with leather trim.
