Bell & Howell Moviola URS SE el84 tube amp Filmosound 385 knobs & Lens in Ammo Can

Selling a completely custom one-off tube combo amp. I am a big fan of Filmosound amps - Bernie Raunig, Austen Hooks, At Mars, Bill Krinard, Tex Amps - and this amp is inspired by those techs that I respect a lot.

The amp circuit was originally built by MrAmpsAmps in Oregon, then I tweaked a bit more and put it in the vintage ammo can.

The circuit is based on the Moviola URS film-editing amp - it uses a solid-state rectifier to get the voltage up and an el84 power tube, and has a few component and circuit tweaks beyond the stock Moviola. There are two gain boost switches, each adds a cathode bypass cap on respective triodes of the 12ax7 preamp tube. I also added a tone circuit that the Moviola doesn't normally have, like a 5f2a tweed Princeton.

Speaker out is 4 ohm - additionally there is a speaker driven line out so you can use a guitar cable to plug this amp into a larger one (always need a speaker load though, don't forget!!!).

Topped off with knobs and a 16mm film lens from a Filmosound 385.

Makes a beautiful, great sounding, portable, and volume friendly amp!
