The Weapon by DigiTech is a signature multi-effects pedal engineered in collaboration with Dan Donegan, the guitarist for the alternative metal band Disturbed. Released in the mid-2000s as part of DigiTech's acclaimed Artist Series, this heavy-duty stompbox was meticulously designed to recreate seven of Donegan's most iconic studio distortion and modulation setups from the band's early albums.The 7 Integrated ModesThe pedal features a 7-position rotary knob (Type) that instantly recalls specific signature tones:

1. Mode 1 (Stupify): A heavy, aggressive distortion paired with a sweeping phaser effect, modeled after the hit single.
3. Mode 2 (Mistress): A biting, high-gain distortion blended with a subtle flanger modulation.
4. Mode 3 (Voices): A sharp distortion combined with a dynamic envelope filter (Auto-Wah) that reacts to your picking style.
6. Mode 4 (Bound): A pitch-shifting effect reminiscent of the DigiTech Whammy, used to recreate Donegan's signature octave jumps.
8. Mode 5 (Sitar Simulator): A sitar emulation featuring an ambient reverb, perfect for unique intros and esoteric textures.
10. Mode 6 (Shika): An aggressive, mid-scooped distortion tailored for heavy nu-metal rhythm playing.
11. Mode 7 (Down with the Sickness): A massive, compressed distortion dialed in to replicate the signature rhythm crunch of their most famous track.

Control Layout and Connectivity

• Morph Knob: This context-sensitive control changes different parameters depending on the active mode (such as auto-wah sensitivity, phaser speed, or pitch-shift depth).
• Dual Outputs: It features a standard guitar amp output (OUT 1) and a mixer output (OUT 2) equipped with CIT™ cabinet modeling, allowing players to run the pedal directly into a studio console or PA system without an amplifier.
