For sale is a rare ribbon microphone from a company called National that later became Panasonic! The VM-1 was a well-built microphone that featured quite the long ribbon, which resulted in plenty of bass response and a well-balanced sound.
The obvious downsides with this microphone are wear to the paint, but it is not all that surprising given the age. The serial number is three digits, so this particular one was made very early on in the production run. That being said, restoring this microphone would be doable and not that difficult since everything can be taken apart if need be. Although, this would all be personal preference since it works great as is and would mainly serve to boost the cosmetic appearance.
