This is my baby, but life demands I sell up! Metal machine designed for shred and heavy riffs, this preceded the Iron Label 7 strings and imho supersedes them too.
Stock pickups swapped out for John Petrucci's old signature DiMarzio Crunch Lab/LiquiFire set; back of headstock signed by all members of Dream Theater (Mike Mangini rather than Portnoy), features a 26.5" scale Wizard II-7 neck and a Black Flat finish.Other features:
- Basswood body
- Gibraltar Standard-7 fixed bridge
- 3-way pickup selector
- Master volume knob
- Bolt-on neck
The guitar is well-loved after nearly 13 years of ownership, but the only major damage is a big chip to the body-paintwork on the rear side - this was how it came shipped from GAK (lesson learned) and has never caused any issues or got worse with time. I suspect the guitar could use a decent set-up, and possibly a new input jack, but I used it at band stuff recently and it was still monstrous.
Based in Bristol, happy to send other photos and details if required. I'm not really looking for trades, but might do for the right guitar - baritone 6s, modern tele 7s, rhythm-oriented guitars for metal. Reasonable offers also welcome!
