1978 Gibson Firebird. Bicentennial model made between 1976-1979. Rare (mostly-)original black/ebony finish. Very good condition, some dings here and there but has been treated very well for the past 47 years. Original patent number pickups sound killer, electronics work great. Plays stellar and setup with 10-52 strings.
Weight: 7.9lbs
Bridge pickup DCR: 6.16k
Neck pickup DCR: 6.45k
Serial number 71718237 (June 20, 1978)
CONDITION NOTES:
-Gold hardware has faded quite a bit in several places. Looks real cool if you ask me.
-Has been re-retted, and frets have plenty of life.
-Because of the re-fret, the neck is partially refinished. The luthier who did it did an exception job with the re-fret and refinish.
-Slight finish crack along the fingerboard on the treble side. Hard to picture but I did my best. Not structural, does not affect playability.
-A previous owner of yesteryear decided to drill another strap button hole. Original strap buttons lost, current Gibson style strap buttons are very shiny and new.
-Original pickups. Rest of the electronics are mostly original but caps are upgraded .022uf film caps.
-Includes original Gibson hardshell case in fantastic condition
