Stuart Spector’s Personal Guitar and one of the very first made!!

Here’s a chance to own a great historic guitar. Stuart Spector, the master bass and guitar builder, world renowned for his quality instruments, handmade this guitar for himself! So you know he didn’t skimp!!

He personally sold this guitar to me, where it has remained in my humidifier run, smoke free home.  All parts are original from my purchase.   

This guitar comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Stuart Himself, along with photos of him playing it, (photographed by Stuart’s 30 year business partner, PJ Rubal). Stuart also signed the guitar as well. 

You’ll notice the “SSD” Logo, which is more unique.  In late 1985 Stuart sold the business and logo to Kramer guitar, where Stuart stayed on as a consultant. In 1990 Kramer  went bankrupt, and after a short hiatus Stuart opened his famous Woodstock headquarters. 

Still not owning the traditional logo, Stuart came up with the. “SSD” (Stuart Spector Designs), which he used on all his  instruments during that era. A few years later, he was able to buy back the traditional logo, which is now used on all designs. So this “SSD” logo makes it an even more rare and special instrument.

Selling it because I’m a bass player and I want to make more room to buy more Spector Basses!!

Comes with a hardshell, guitar shaped, generic case.

I will wrap the base very securely and ship it anywhere in the Continental United States.  One previous buyer of mine actually reviewed me and described my packing as “almost bombproof”. Once the sale is made, I will keep you apprised of tracking information and even send you photos of how well I pack the guitar.
