1989-90 Fender Telecaster TL72 CTL50M Electric Guitar. J serial number MIJ.

Made in Japan this is a sought after Japanese tele.

These guitars were based on the early 70's teles, not reissues but inspired by them. It features Gotoh tuners, Sen body and maple neck with 70s style Fender headstock decal and serial number on the headstock and Made in Japan on the base of the neck.

It has the usual telecaster configuration except for a 4 way switch which maybe a later mod, otherwise ,as far as I know its all stock giving that typical tele twang.

There are 'ghost marks' in the finish on the back from where a past owners stickers have been removed as well as two linear lacquer cracks as hown in the pictures , there are also several small indents and surface marks, light scuffs and scrapes here and there but its an excellent example of Japanese guitar building.

It's been played so please expect a used guitar. There is some light fret wear and marks to the fretboard and minor indents and scuffs to the back of the neck.

Comes with decent Ritter padded gig bag (not pictured). New strings fitted at the time of listing and it plays nicely as these 80s Japanese Fender mostly do.
