Vexter features UV-printed art and hand-selected NOS 1960s GT308 germanium transistors. The parts inside are identical to those in the hand-painted model.
This edition of our Fuzz Factory 7 uses two NOS 1960s GT308 germanium transistors. Why germanium? Because they respond faster—turning on sooner and creating unique, memorable tones. Germanium transistors are delicate, easily startled, and deliver unmatched sonic warmth. They’re the happiest of all semiconductors, making this pedal a true joy.
Where the Fat Fuzz Factory has a 3-position toggle, the FF7 features a nine-position rotary switch, offering an enormous range of sounds from deep, earth-shaking lows to piercing, high-frequency tones. It also includes a passive tone control (with its own switch) to roll off high-end frequencies as needed.
