I ordered this gorgeous bass from Martin through Elderly Instruments in May 2008, delivery in August 2008. In most situations when playing with other musicians, you'll want to plug it in. For my ears, the best sound came using flatwound strings and using my Hughes & Kettner acoustic amp, but the Fender bass amp I have does the job, too.
The Martin BC-15E acoustic-electric bass guitar is generally well-regarded for its warm, rich tone and robust voice when played acoustically. It features a full 34" scale length and a Fishman Prefix preamp for plugged-in performance. The all-mahogany construction contributes to its unique sound.
This guitar is in remarkable condition for a 17 year-old. Electronics work just right, always have. The original case is also in fine condition. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. I'm happy to provide more pictures if there is something you'd like another look at.
As you can see from reviews by buyers, I take pride in careful packaging and getting the instrument shipped as soon as possible.
