Signed By Tom Murphy. This is the holy grail as far as reissues go and you cant get closer to an original than this one. I am the original owner from my personal collection. Scroll to 4:22 on the video link you can see Slash playing the original before he gifted it back to Joe.

This is a killer 2013 Gibson 59 Joe Perry Les Paul that was aged by Tom Murphy and hand picked for me by Edwin Wilson and Tom Murphy and Murphy also signed the back plate. I ordered the guitar and I am the original owner with the sales receipt in my name. Inside the control cavity notice it is stamped with Joe’s original serial number 9 0663. Gibson only made 100 of the aged unsigned guitars.

The top on this one is just killer with full flame side to side, front to back and the color is spot on. The guitar is super light at 8 pounds 8 ounces and very resonate. 2013 was the first year for the hot hyde glue neck joint, updated truss rod route with no tubing, and the finger board glued to the neck with hot hyde glue. Notice the figured flame in the rosewood finger board that looks very Brazilian like.

The guitar is completely original in as brand new unplayed condition in its original shipping carton and has been in my personal collection since the day I received it. You wont find a better example anywhere guaranteed. It has all the original hang tags, factory paperwork, bill of sale, COA, Joe Perry strap (only came with aged signed model) Strap Locks, promo photos, and original shipping carton.

I also have 5 promo photos that was given to me by Gibson when the prototype was made and sent to Joe for his approval while Aerosmith was on tour and those will be included. I also will include the official Joe Perry guitar strap that you could only get with the aged signed model that Gibson gave to me as a gift.

If you are looking at this listing I will assume you know the back story that Joe sold this guitar in the early 1980’s and it eventually would up in Slash’s collection and he played it in the November Rain video. Slash later gifted the guitar back to Joe many years later. There are several articles written about the original and it is well documented and you can read more on the Guitar Player web site if you do a search.
