Fender's Custom Shop and Alto Music’s Guitar staff are pleased to present an outstanding player with enough vibe to overpower even the most jaded Fender offset lovers. The ’62 contoured Jazzmaster’s alder body features a black nitrocellulose relic’d lacquer finish applied over a 3-tone sunburst finish--just as Fender did in the '60s, to fulfill uncommon custom color finish orders. Players of the era had no idea about the sunburst “base coat” until years of excessive playwear revealed the surprise—a rare and unique kind of mojo recreated with stunning results, especially for Alto Music’s unique Fender Custom Shop collection.

Alto Music’s guitar staff loves a guitar with a killer vibe. Still, we know a guitar needs to play and sound great to be your next #1. A chunky neck maple (with binding) has a vintage “C-shaped” profile and a 9mm thick AAA, curved rosewood board fitted with medium-tall Jescar 47095 frets. The modern 9.5”-12” compound radius ‘board provides a fast playing surface well suited for deep bends and first-position chording. Under the tortoise pickguard, a pair of Custom Shop flat mag Jazzmaster pickups perfectly combine Jazzmaster power and twang. Top it all off with a matching custom color black head cap, Brown FCS tolex case, strap, COA, Case Candy, and bragging rights.
