Stinger Drive

The Stinger Drive takes inspiration from several classic overdrives and distortions of the 1970s as well as some more modern concepts. It features an LM741 hard clipping circuit that uses an asymmetrical clipping pair utilizing a germanium diode and silicon transistor, pushing forward loads of even order harmonic distortion. It goes a step further than that to provide more volume than a vintage overdrive, and also more gain which at its maximum stands on the knifes edge of oscillation for really hairy tones. It uses the same grade of NOS components seen on the Stinger Boost throughout.
