Condition: Mint 2018 model, shows little to no non-original wear. Original aged hardshell case and all paperwork included.

Up for grabs is a stunning 2018 Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Heavy Aged R8 in a captivating Sweet Cherry Red finish, like the affectionately nicknamed George Harrison "Lucy."
The attached box label picture indicates that this guitar was part of an order of 30 units sent to Musicians Friend. That is my best guess.
This guitar is a true masterpiece from Gibson's Custom Shop. It embodies the spirit and craftsmanship of the original 1958 models. It has a very nice flame top with very cool heavy aging by the Gibson team in Nashville.
On March 9, 2021, Gibson, the iconic American instrument brand announced the launch of The Murphy Lab. This guitar pre-dates the formal launch. But Tom Murphy was instrumental in the original formation of the world-renowned Gibson Custom Shop and developed the scientific process of aging guitars for Gibson many years before the formal launch of the Murphy Lab in 2021. The guitar box label for this guitar indicates heavy aged.
This guitar was purchased new and has essentially no fret wear. It includes the original aged Lifton case and all of the Gibson case candy.
