Up for sale is this vintage 1951 Gibson Ultratone lap steel electric guitar. While this one isn't mint, it's an extremely nice example of the model that's extremely well preserved. Shall we go on?

This instrument is all original, inside and out. The original covers are both present and in great condition and the electronics are untouched. The jack plate is intact and even the original Kluson keys are still present. Everything has just been sprayed out, cleaned up, and we're happy to report that everything works as it should and that this one sounds great and is a blast to play.

Cosmetically, the instrument shows some wear including some dings, scuffs, and scratches that one expects from an instrument of this age. The worst of the wear is a scratch on the back near the back plate (which can be seen in the photos) and a few dings along the edges.

The original Geib hardshell case is included and is in wonderful condition as well, featuring all working latches, the original handle, and even the original Geib badge inside. To top all of that off, this one includes the original hang tag along with an old pitch pipe and music book.

This little guy isn't perfect, but he's survived seventy plus years in fantastic shape. I hope to make it that far, but I guarantee you that I will not have held up as well...
