The Fender Kurt Cobain Road Worn Jaguar is an authentic reproduction of the iconic, heavily modified 1965 Jaguar famously played by Nirvana's frontman, Kurt Cobain. Manufactured between 2011 and 2015, this unit was produced in 2014, making it part of a limited run highly prized by collectors and musicians alike.
Featuring an alder body with a Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish, the guitar convincingly emulates years of intense stage wear, delivering immediate vintage character and feel. The maple neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and pearloid dot inlays ensures exceptional comfort and smooth playability.
True to Cobain's original specifications, this Jaguar is equipped with a DiMarzio DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary humbucker in the neck position and a powerful DiMarzio DP100 Super Distortion humbucker at the bridge. This combination produces the punchy, aggressive tones essential for grunge and alternative rock.
Notably, this model fully replicates Cobain's modification of replacing the original tuners with Gotoh sealed tuning machines. Consequently, the back of the headstock intentionally retains the exposed original tuner mounting holes, adding further authenticity to this meticulous reissue.
Additional features include an Adjusto-Matic bridge, a traditional floating vibrato tailpiece, dual volume and tone controls, and a three-position toggle switch.
