PRS Eddie's Guitars Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow Figured Maple Neck - Faded Blue Jean

The PRS Eddie’s Guitars Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow with a figured maple neck in Faded Blue Jean is a visually captivating and sonically dynamic instrument that exemplifies the finest elements of PRS craftsmanship. The quilt maple “Ten Top” immediately draws the eye, with its deep, undulating figure accentuated by the cool, vintage-inspired Faded Blue Jean finish. Paired with a swamp ash back, this tonewood combination delivers a unique tonal signature—tight, articulate lows, a clear and present midrange, and a sparkling high end with plenty of harmonic detail. The semi-hollow construction enhances this voice with added airiness and resonance, giving notes a lively bloom while maintaining the focus and attack needed for modern performance.

A defining feature of this build is its figured maple neck and matching figured maple fretboard, offering both a striking aesthetic and a snappy, immediate tonal response. The maple-on-maple construction lends brightness and clarity, making every note feel precise and articulate. Carved to PRS’s Pattern shape, the neck provides a comfortable, familiar feel that supports a wide range of playing styles. The fretboard is adorned with J-Birds inlays featuring paua abalone outlines and sparkle abalone centers, adding a vibrant, high-end visual detail that complements the guitar’s bold appearance.

Equipped with a versatile and thoughtfully designed electronics package, this Special Semi-Hollow is built to handle virtually any musical situation. The 58/15 LT treble and bass pickups deliver a warm, vintage-inspired voice with exceptional clarity and dynamic sensitivity, perfect for everything from clean, expressive passages to smooth, driven tones. The addition of a Narrowfield middle pickup expands the tonal palette, offering focused, hum-canceling tones that bridge the gap between single-coil sparkle and humbucker fullness. With a 5-way blade switch, push/pull tone control, and two mini-toggle switches, players can access a wide array of pickup combinations and coil-splitting options, unlocking a remarkable range of sounds.

Performance hardware ensures that the instrument is as reliable as it is inspiring. The PRS Gen III patented tremolo provides smooth, expressive vibrato with excellent tuning stability, while Phase III locking tuners make string changes quick and keep the guitar locked in tune. The smoked black hardware adds a sleek, modern touch that contrasts beautifully with the lighter tones of the figured maple and the cool blue finish.

This Eddie’s Guitars Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow is a perfect blend of innovation, artistry, and tonal flexibility. From its resonant semi-hollow body and premium wood selection to its expansive electronics and refined appointments, it’s an instrument designed to inspire creativity at every level. Complete with a black paisley hard case, it’s ready to deliver exceptional performance wherever your music takes you.
