Here we have a bit of a bass unicorn in the form of one of the greatest 8 string bases ever made. The Ibanez MC980 Neck Thru Musician. Made in 1980, yet it remains in great condition. Solid brass bridge and tailpiece. Super 4 pickups with an active two-band EQ. It has a master tone, volume, and pickup selector switch, as well as a toggle switch to bypass the EQ. All electronics function as they should. 24 frets with a half bone/half brass nut on an ebony fretboard. The neck itself is 5 piece maple and walnut. The body is ash on mahogany.
Condition-wise, there is minor belt rash. And one ding on the top edge. Both are picture. Otherwise, it plays as well as it looks. This is a one-owner instrument. An absolute specimen. Comes with the case as shown. These don't pop up often, so grab it while you can. This is the cleanest one I have ever seen.
