Portable Rechargeable Record Player w/ 78 RPM Turntable

-> Ever wished you had a portable battery powered record player out there in the field (garage sales, flea markets, antique stores. etc.) -> to check out records before you buy? -> I still remember that day at an antique store way in the back country where they had loads of 78s, but too expensive to buy lots, to decide later which I'd like, so I desired a player for that purpose right with me ever since, and I now finally put my hand to it to make that dream come true: Yes, It actually plays records - and quite well (!) and 78's properly. I custom modified with a flip-over stylus for LP/78 (!) - and: to a rechargeable battery (8-10 hours operation between charges), so can be used on AC or fully portable anywhere. It plays 33, 45 and 78 RPM - and plays records up to 12". The built-in speakers sounds it a bit "tinny", but the unit has a line output jack for external amplifier hookup / recording - PLUS: a head phone jack (great sound, mutes the speakers for private listening!) - or allows to hook up an external pair of 8 Ohm speakers there.

Lot: custom modified Crosly CR-40 mini record player: replaced the phono cartridge with one that has a "Flip over" stylus for 78 - added rechargeable battery (runs the unit for 8-10 hours between charges) - comes with charger - modified to provide a head phone output - installed a "pilot" LED that reminds to turn off the amplifier when not in use (as to not drain the battery)

Condition: Works, new phono cartridge with new "flip-over" needle installed - expected to give lasting performance - please see details in "purchase agreement" below • Physical Condition: Used with sings of age and use - scratches, tears, dings, discoloring.

Work performed to present this unit: repaired to fully working, then modified: I upgraded the phono cartridge with a new one one that has a "flip-over" needle to have all that is needed to play records and 78's properly. Then I added and installed a rechargeable battery pack - the included external power supply allows to charge the internal battery and has a charging indicator (turns green when charged). Modified to provide a head phone output that mutes the speakers when head phone plug inserted - installed a "pilot" LED that reminds to turn off the amplifier when not in use (as to not drain the battery)
