Up for sale is a Sansui AU-555, a legendary solid-state integrated amplifier from the golden age of Japanese hi-fi. This particular unit is a 100V Japanese market model, known for its robust build, refined circuit design, and rich, musical sound. Delivering 25 watts per channel into 8 ohms, the AU-555 is revered for its warmth, clarity, and outstanding phono stage.

Overview:

The AU-555 features high-quality internal components and a layout that reflects Sansui’s audiophile approach of the era. With separate bass, mid, and treble controls, dual phono inputs, and rugged aluminum construction, it stands as a benchmark in early 1970s integrated amplifier design.

Condition:

This unit has been tested and serviced for preventative maintenance:

• Faceplate removed, cleaned, and polished

• Potentiometers treated with Deoxit F5 for long-term performance
